Tatami
Spa wins award
Tucked
away in the lush tropical forest of Berjaya Hills is the Japanese garden-inspired
Tatami Spa, which has become a popular destination for visitors, most notably
VIPs, who want to get away from the hustle and bustle in the city and unwind in
this beautiful setting. It is no wonder then, that at the recent 6th Hospitality
Asia Platinum Awards (HAPA) 2007-2008, Tatami Spa won the Resort Spa of the Year
award. The HAPA awards is a prestigious award series that recognizes and
pays tribute to exceptional professionals and establishments in the hospitality
industry. The awards traditionally honour only one winner per category.
However, in order to further recognize the level of excellent performance, HAPA
has also ranked the top four finalists for each category. Berjaya Hills
attained the finalist award for Family Resort of the Year while Berjaya Hotels
& Resorts corporate office director of marketing communications Thang Han-Ni
earned the finalist award for Marketing Communications Personality of the Year.
Berjaya Hotels & Resorts acting head Foo Toon Kee said: "Winning these
three awards is the culmination of Berjaya Hotels & Resorts' year-long hard
work and dedication coming to fruition. "As one of the key players
in this country's hospitality industry, we take pride in providing a wholesome
and memorable experience to each guest. Hence, the award speaks volume of the
attention to detail put in by each team member." In appreciation of
this vote of confidence, Berjaya Hills Tatami Spa is offering a special pampering
treat - the Omotenashi Package - which includes a two-day-one-night stay (with
dinner and breakfast) at Ume Tatami Suite plus a two-hour massage at Tatami Spa
at RM588 per person.
