The Japanese Village at Berjaya Hills
is the first of its kind outside Japan that
is situated in an authentic Zen-like environment.
It is set 3,500 feet above sea level among
the lush rainforest hilltops. The serenity
of the surroundings provide a certain calmness
to all who visit as the cool air and calm
ambience envelop the senses.
The spirit of Japanese culture flows along
the scenic footpaths, pebbled garden, waterfalls,
koi ponds and the rest stops within serene
forest setting. The beauty of the Japanese
Village is perhaps in the expert craftsmanship
that was provided by renowned Japanese designers
so that the authenticity is maintained.
The garden was planned and designed by renowned
Japanese architect, Mr Kaio Ariizumi and
built by a team of 22 skilled craftsmen
from Japan.

the essence of Japanese architecture and

JAPANESE TEAHOUSE

attend the meticulous Japanese tea ceremony
at the Japanese teahouse conducted daily
for visitors. Every detail is reproduced
faithfully for true connoisseurs of Japanese
culture.
RYO ZAN TEI
 Ryo
Zan Tei is the only Japanese restaurant
in Malaysia that is located in the midst
of a tropical rainforest high up in the
hills of the Main Range. Savour the delightful
Japanese cuisine from our master chef as
you look out to the beautiful forested landscaped
around. With a menu that offers everything
from a bowl of udon to an authentic bento,
it is the perfect place to relax after a
visit to the Japanese Village.
BOTANICAL GARDEN
 Do
not forget the 1-km long Botanical Garden
nearby with more than 500 species of trees
and herbs. Bird watching platforms are dotted
around the garden and trekking is available
along the garden trail past towering trees
and viewing decks to enjoy the sights and
sounds of the virgin forest. Be amazed by
towering trees, ferns, orchids and rarely
seen flora. Don't miss the horticultural
experiments to cultivate temperate fruits...pears,
apples and 7 different types of strawberries.
